Responsibilities： · Top level contributor: responsible for directing design and creativity in the field of interface design for all brands of the BMW Group as well as for a wide variety of products in multiple DW relevant industry sectors for third party clients. · Directly responsible to ensure maximum design quality, cross-disciplinary collaboration and constant improvement of output quality. · Develops rationale, criteria and reasoning for design to fit strategic targets, and creates benchmarks, best practice applications and design principles to ensure that market design qualities are competitive as well as meet and exceed client satisfaction. · Through his/her extensive knowledge, expertise and best judgment, this individual works to leverage DW's reputation for being a leading global creative consultancy for its cutting edge creative concepts, innovative ideas and world class design results. · The work involves design input, form mastery, product development integration knowledge, and in depth knowledge of interface design. · Responsible for the style, quality, and functionality of DW’s interface designs. · Strategically steers multiple design programs within DW and successfully organizes benchmarks and project reviews with the Directors of Global Design and Design as well as the Studio Director. · Fosters cross fertilization within the company network and leads multiple interface design programs simultaneously while engaging with other design leaders effectively. · Up to date with the latest software and design trends, tools, methods and processes to clearly communicate and implement design standards and best practices. Design Leadership and Cross Fertilization · Leading and overseeing design to provide a superior quality level of creative output that meet or exceed the stated objectives. · Promote, transfer and monitor cross-fertilization innovation and interdisciplinary design and creativity throughout the studio. · Integrate the collective input and distribution of ideas to the entire internal community. · Collaborate with all Directors in the Design department, Directors across departments, the Global Director, Design and the Studio Director to establish a cross-studio philosophy, standards and best practices for design quality and design leadership. · Anticipate future direction of design services and derive tactical plans on how to maintain and increase DW’s design leadership position. · Create and integrate benchmarking goals and criteria. Design Management · Manage consistency and quality control of design content for the studio · Develop, organize and oversee 2D/3D virtual design processes to ensure that a highest quality design deliverable is provided to each client. · Manage comprehensive design teams who report functionally to the Director, Design to meet or exceed client and projects stated objectives. · Work with global and local leadership to maintain project quality in design deliverables. · Establish quality gate milestones and project reviews. · Plan and implement cutting edge methods, standards and best practice. · Define success criteria for the development and conceptualization of innovative ideas, concepts and design solutions. · Provide creative problem solving and analysis to assigned projects. · Consult and support Strategic Partnering, Creative Consulting, and the Studio Director with planning; scope, resources, budget, timing and deliverables. · Consult and support the Global Collaboration and Knowledge Management Function to create training and development plans and transfer of process and procedure knowledge. · Apply extensive knowledge of design
