Description This position is to support powertrain development in BCS. Responsible for coordination and control of powertrain subsystem integration as part of the powertrain process chain and the E/E process chain. Steer testing and validation for powertrain system, ensure product compliance and successful development. BMW is the client and specifies the EE goals (process and product). The processes are enabled and the interfaces are ensured by BMW. Responsibilities Product Testing and Validation: Planning, synchronization, preparation and performing of all concept, functions and endurance testing for assigned projects for worldwide market depends on SOP offer. Organization and participation on test events and test campaigns. Evaluate the car from customer and experts perspective. Analyzing issue and report all detected faults with BMW standard tools and process, Octane, JIRA, PQM etc. Technical leadership of one or more engineer and in addition leadership of a cross-organizational team working on all relevant fields needed for a series development process. Product Requirements: Collection, Definition and Documentation of requirements and handover to all relevant parties and systems within BMW Constant adjustment of the strategic orientation of project according to the development of the market and the product portfolio. Leading people of one or more engineers on all relevant topics of the Engine and Powertrain testing and validation. Steering activities and supervising of testing and validation of all relevant parties and systems of China specific vehicles in accordance with BMWs' procedures and test standards. Project Management for all relevant processes. Coordination of all activities, status reports to project teams at central development and escalation if necessary to ensure smooth operation. \ Carry out implementation planning through stringent targeting of the EA system network. Show implementation deficits, initiates measures and steer the escalation. Coordinate the subsystem protection and ensure timely powertrain releases, suitability for testing and plant integration / buildability from an E/E perspective. Coordination of the topics for functional integration with the representatives of the FGI-A team. Qualifications Engineer (BSc, MSc, PhD) in “Automotive, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering”.
