Job Description
Intel Lab China VICS team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries in the integration of vehicle and infrastructure systems with cloud and edge computing. Our projects span a wide range of areas in edge and cloud computing, including but not limited to real-time computing and scalable, high-speed vector search.
We are in search of a Ph.D. intern to join our research team, which is primarily focused on vector database research. This position offers the chance to collaborate with top-tier academic and industry partners, and to develop innovative solutions that could be beneficial across a range of domains, including Intelligent Transportation, AI PC and LLM applications, among others.
As a Ph.D. intern, your responsibilities will include:
Executing cutting-edge research on vector databases and similarity searches, which may involve studying and devising new algorithms to optimize memory bandwidth efficiency and computing latency across various scenarios.
Designing prototypes and conducting experiments to validate proposed solutions, demonstrating their performance and advantages.
Working in collaboration with other researchers and engineers to incorporate the developed solutions into real-world applications and platforms.
Publishing high-quality research papers in leading conferences and journals.
Qualifications
A Ph.D or Master candidate in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
A solid background and experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, LLM, or related areas.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go.
Familiarity with widely-used AI data processing frameworks and tools, such as CUDA or PyTorch.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English.
