China Compliance Associate Director (Shanghai) -- Manages proactive compliance
programs and initiatives, and provides compliance related advice, project
review and support to business groups within the assigned business organization
in China Region.02 Responsibilities focused on supporting compliance initiatives
and working with the China Compliance team and business leaders in directing
and managing risk assessment and risk management activities, including
policies, local SOPs, third party due diligence, monitoring, training and
communications, programs, and practices to ensure compliant business
operations, and fostering a culture of integrity in the business group.
Responsibilities:
*
As Compliance business partner, work closely with business leaders to advance
a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the assigned business
organizations.
*
Maintain an understanding of key compliance risks relevant to the assigned
businesses organization and partner with business leadership team to design and
implement in-country compliance risk identification, assessments and management
strategies and tactics.
*
Work with China Compliance team and coordinate with key stakeholders from
business and enabling functions (e.g., Legal, Finance, Medical, etc.) on
implementation of various processes and procedures required by company policy.
*
Design and deliver regular compliance training on healthcare compliance,
Company policies and procedures, including FCPA and the Company’s Anti-Bribery
Procedures to assigned business organization colleagues and/or external
business partners (e.g., distributor, vendor, sales intermediary, HCO, etc.)
*
Lead compliance enhanced due diligence on 3rd party partners to identify,
assess, and mitigate compliance risk/red flags.
*
Develop and implement annual governance plan for the external partners of
relevant business groups, including., regular and effective compliance
monitoring and audits, ensure the monitoring results (e.g., abnormal trend or
signals identified) and audit findings are effectively communicated with aligned
mitigations/remediation actions, and timely tracking of action completion. 02

Provide day-to-day comprehensive compliance advice/support in terms of key
decision making. Lead compliance guidance development initiatives, program risk
assessment and mitigations.
*
Monitor docket of Referable Compliance Issues (RCIs) and provide on the ground
support to relevant stakeholders to ensure effective management and resolution
of investigation remediations.
*
Participate and provide support to regional and global compliance programs on
ad hoc basis; and other compliance related tasks from time to time, including
but not limited to project based or other per need basis compliance support.
Qualifications:
*
University degree in legal, finance, business, or other professional areas.
*
Master’s degree preferred.
*
10-12 years of experience in business operations, program management and
compliance and control related functions.
*
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to resolve complex
matters in a responsive way.
*
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
*
Excellent drafting, writing and oral communication in both Chinese and
English, strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
*
Ability to work effectively in a global environment.
*
Ability to well manage work under a matrix organization structure and
comparably complicated environment.
*
Approximately 20% travel is expected.
